CHILD ADVOCACY

Helping Families Navigate School, Services, and Support with Confidence

Navigating educational systems, evaluations, accommodations, and support services can feel overwhelming for many families. Whether you're concerned about your child's academic performance, behavior, social-emotional development, ADHD, Autism, or other neurodivergent needs, you don't have to figure it all out alone.

Through Child Advocacy & Family Guidance, I help parents better understand their child's needs, identify appropriate supports, and confidently navigate the educational and service systems available to them. My goal is to ensure that children receive the accommodations, services, and opportunities they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Child Advocacy May Be Right for You If:

✔ You're concerned about your child's behavior or performance at school

✔ Your child may need an evaluation but you're unsure where to start

✔ You don't understand the IEP, 504, or PPT process

✔ School meetings leave you feeling overwhelmed or unheard

✔ Your child has ADHD, Autism, or other neurodivergent needs

✔ You're struggling to obtain appropriate accommodations or services

✔ Communication between home and school has become challenging

✔ You need guidance on available resources and supports

✔ You want an experienced advocate by your side throughout the process

My Approach

With a background in Special Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Child Development, I understand both the educational and behavioral aspects of supporting children. I specialize in working with families navigating ADHD, Autism, learning differences, behavioral challenges, and other neurodivergent needs.

I take the time to understand the whole child—their strengths, challenges, learning style, behavioral patterns, and educational needs. My approach is collaborative, practical, and solution-focused, helping families make informed decisions while building positive relationships with schools and service providers.

Rather than adding more confusion to an already complex process, I help families create a clear plan, understand their options, and feel confident advocating for their child's success.

School-Based Advocacy Support

When families need additional support, I can attend school meetings as part of the advocacy process. This may include participating in PPT meetings, IEP meetings, 504 meetings, planning sessions, and other school-based discussions.

I can also observe children within their classroom environment to better understand their learning, behavioral, social, and emotional needs. These observations often provide valuable insight into what supports may be beneficial both at school and at home.

My role is to help parents understand the process, ask informed questions, communicate concerns effectively, and ensure their child's needs remain at the center of the conversation.
